Saturday, August 2nd, at 7:00 p.m.
From 135th South to 123rd on Lake City Way.
Pirate “NO Blast Zone" approximately 135th-133nd.

The parade will proceed south on Lake City Way NE from NE 135th Street to NE 123rd Street. The reveiewing stand will be located on the northwest corner of Lake City Way NE and NE 127th Street.

Pioneer Days - The Tradition Lives On

More than 66 years ago (local historians vary a year or so on the exact date) the Little City by the Lake decided to have a big celebration. Merchants, residents, service groups got together to plan a community event that would have something for all ages. In 1947 it became known as Pioneer Days.

A carnival atmosphere prevailed in Lake City. There were booths, games, contests, street fairs, sidewalk sales, and parades. Shopper and merchant alike dressed in western or gay ‘90s costumes. There was even a real wedding one year, bride and groom arriving in a horse drawn surrey and the entire party dressed in pioneer fashion.

Lake City Pioneer Days have been a part of Seafair since the beginning of the organization with its Grand Parade being second only to Seafair’s in size. This year should be another fun filled event for all ages. Come enjoy all that Lake City has to offer and be part of this historic event! Wear your Western Garb!

BRING A CAN - Pioneer Days FOOD DRIVE!

Bring some MEALS IN A CAN to help feed the hungry. Every can, box or package Helps! The Lake City Food Bank serves between 320-400 local families each week. Summertime means donations are down, but the need remains the same.
